Even in today's world, where screens and electronic devices are so prevalent, the ability to write legibly and read the handwriting of others remains a fundamental life skill. A Reason For Handwriting® can help your child excel at this, while equipping her with essential knowledge of God’s Word.

A Reason For Handwriting® provides instruction in correct letter formation, and consistent daily practice that helps your child learn to write with ease.

Our exclusive Border Sheets are suitable for display, ministry outreach, and gift-giving, providing an incentive for young learners to use their best penmanship.

Two separate Teacher Guidebooks are available for all levels of the program.

Pre-K Letter Introduction helps develop motor skills and manual dexterity while teaching basic manuscript letter formation, in short lessons that can be adapted to suit the attention span of each young writer. Proper technique minimizes fatigue and paves the way for handwriting proficiency in later years.

Kindergarten Beginning Manuscript builds proficiency through more focused practice of all of the letters in the alphabet. Building a foundation of good habits and proper letter formation helps to head off potential problems that might develop as handwriting the student's handwriting becomes more automatic.

Our A-F Teacher Guidebook is used with elementary students, with Levels A-F roughly corresponding to 1st-6th grades. These books in the program provide daily practice in manuscript (Levels A, B & T) or cursive (Levels T, C, D, E & F). Lessons feature a weekly Scripture verseover the course of 6 years, your child will practice writing nearly 200 different ones!—and because research shows that writing information by hand greatly increases retention, this daily handwriting practice also serves as an excellent Scripture memorization tool.

My son, keep your father's commandment,
    and forsake not your mother's teaching.
Bind them on your heart always;
    tie them around your neck.
When you walk, they will lead you;
    when you lie down, they will watch over you;
    and when you awake, they will talk with you.
 For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching a light,
    and the reproofs of discipline are the way of life.
Proverbs 6:20-23 [ESV]
